Dutch Pork Expo 2020 rescheduled for 2021 due to Coronavirus

VENRAY – The second edition of the Dutch Pork Expo trade event, planned for 21 and 22 April 2020 in Evenementenhal Venray will be moved to 2021 due to the Coronavirus. The measures relating to the Coronavirus, imposed by the Dutch government last week, mean that events planned up to 1 June are cancelled. For this reason, trade fair organiser Easyfairs has decided to move the Dutch Pork Expo to 26 and 27 January 2021.

“It goes without saying we are complying with government measures, and this means the Dutch Pork Expo will be rescheduled for next year. It pains us to do this, because we know how much everyone was looking forward to this second edition. We hope all those involved can understand our decision. We are already working hard to make sure the event in 2021 will be a fantastic and successful edition.”, says Lucas van’t Hof, Head of Agriculture at Easyfairs.

Van’t Hof: “We made a very conscious decision to move the Dutch Pork Expo to the end of January 2021. We carried out research among pig farmers and other visitors, which showed that the preferred period for a trade show is from January to the end of March. Pig farmers are usually involved in agriculture too, and might be very busy from April if the weather is favourable. For this reason, we have decided to move the Dutch Pork Expo to a new permanent spot at the end of January every year. For 2021, this will be 26 and 27 January.
